Sandblasting for surface preparation
The technology in a nutshell: We blast grains on the surface to be treated, in order to prepare it with the aid of the power of blasting. The surface obtained this way is “clean to the metal”, and therefore, it is suitable for carrying out the additional high quality treatment of the surface.
Sandblasting may be divided into two main groups: Oxide removing sandblasting, and surface upgrading sandblasting.
Oxide removing may be either rust removing, descaling or cleaning.
Surface upgrading sandblasting may be either roughening or fine grain blasting. The purpose of fine grain blasting is to eliminate the roughening of the previously finely machined surfaces that occurred during their use.
The surface to be treated defines the speed of blasting and the type and size of grains used.
